About Julia

I am a licensed social worker and a therapist dedicated to helping children, teens, and young adults connect with their strengths and navigate life with greater balance, confidence, and purpose. My therapeutic style is rooted in compassion, collaboration, warmth, and curiosity, with an emphasis on creating a safe space for growth and exploration.

My Specialities

Helping children feel seen, understood, and supported has been at the heart of my work for over a decade. I bring warmth, curiosity, and evidence-based tools to my work with young people ages 3 to 21, creating space for growth, connection, and resilience.

I received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania with a Concentration in Child Welfare. Throughout my training, I had the privilege of working with children and adolescents across private practice and community mental health settings. In these roles, I provided therapeutic support through modalities including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Group Therapy.

With over a decade of experience in working with young people, I have held a variety of roles including work in schools, as a camp counselor (one of my favorites!), as a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania’s Psychology Department, and as a therapist in private practice. I am passionate about working with children and young adults between the ages of 3 and 21.

I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational conflict, challenging family dynamics, and self-esteem. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where clients feel empowered to explore their emotions and experiences. Additionally, I work closely with parents and caregivers to provide a family-inclusive and client-centered therapeutic experience.

I am a born and raised New Yorker, a new resident in Dumbo, Brooklyn, a middle-child, and a dog-lover.

I look forward to meeting your child, and helping them reach their full potential, develop the strengths they already possess, and being a part of their journey.
