About Shira

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of a practice devoted to helping young adults and women navigate life's transitions, especially those that arise during the reproductive years.

My Specialities

For over 20 years, I’ve worked in diverse clinical settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, partial hospital programs, and private practice. My approach is grounded in warmth, collaboration, and evidence-based care, and I work with each client to build confidence, clarity, and resilience.

I specialize in reproductive and maternal mental health, supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, fertility challenges, and the identity shifts that come with becoming a parent. I love helping new and expectant mothers reconnect with themselves while finding their footing in parenthood — without losing sight of who they are.

In addition to my private practice work, I’ve served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Zucker Hillside Hospital and as a Supervising Psychologist in the Partial Hospital Program at Northwell Health. I’ve also provided supervision and mentorship to psychology interns and externs.

Originally from New York City, I now live in Westchester with my husband, our four kids, and Lucy, our ever-enthusiastic labradoodle.
