Scarsdale Child + Teen
ADHD Therapy
Ages 3 - 18
with Dahlia Kaufman, PhD
Vini Zaninovic, LMSW &
Golda Fleishman, LMSW
Your child may not have an official ADHD diagnosis, but something feels off.
They’re either constantly moving or shutting down, bouncing between hyperfocus and distraction, anger and withdrawal. You might feel like you're tiptoeing around their moods or spending most days putting out fires.
Teachers may have raised concerns. Maybe you're hearing “they don’t listen,” “they can’t sit still,” or “they’re falling behind.” Or, maybe you just feel something’s up and nothing you've tried has really worked.
Parents Come to Us When…
Behavior issues take over
School is a struggle
Emotions go from 0 to 60
Friends are hard to make or keep
They're disorganized or constantly losing things
Sensory overload is constant
Everything is a battle at home
Our Therapy Supports the Child & Your Family
Our approach to ADHD therapy blends emotional regulation, executive functioning support, and behavioral strategies while honoring how your child’s brain actually works.
Approaches We Use in ADHD Therapy
-
Helps kids manage impulsive thoughts and shift unhelpful behavior patterns.
-
Builds emotional regulation, frustration tolerance, and flexible thinking.
-
Helps kids build awareness, empathy, and confidence in peer relationships.
-
Gives parents tools to manage behavior and structure routines with less conflict.
-
Strengthens the parent-child bond and helps improve cooperation and emotional connection.
-
Supports parents in reducing accommodations that reinforce avoidance or dysregulation.
We also collaborate with schools, neuropsychologists, child psychiatrists, and other providers to ensure your child is supported from every angle.
After Therapy With Us, Families Report
Kids can:
Understand their triggers
Use tools to regulate emotions and focus
More organized and confident
Tackle tasks that felt overwhelming
Handle stimulation & transitions without chaos
This work isn’t about fixing. It’s about helping your child thrive in the world as they are.
You’ll also get support as a parent. ADHD affects the whole family, and we help you communicate more clearly, understand what your child is experiencing, and guide them more effectively day to day.
Parents can:
Communicate more clearly and calmly
Support their child without walking on eggshells
Navigate daily routines with fewer power struggles
Understand what works for their child and what doesn’t
Feel less overwhelmed and more connected
Some kids we work with are newly diagnosed. Many haven’t been evaluated at all. What they all have in common is this: something is getting in the way of their success, connection, or confidence.
We help untangle it and build new ways forward.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
ADHD therapy isn’t about changing who your child is. It’s about helping them understand themselves, build tools that work for their brain, and feel more confident in everyday life.
You don’t have to wait for things to get worse. Support can start now.
Let’s talk.
