My Specialities
With a background in both social work and birth work, I bring a deeply supportive, whole-person perspective to therapy. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan in settings ranging from private practice to community centers.
As a certified birth doula, I’ve had the privilege of supporting new and expectant parents through the transformational journey into parenthood. I’ve also led parent groups, for both newborn and teenage stages, and love witnessing the growth that occurs when caregivers gain confidence in their ability to nurture and guide their children.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a public defender, a role that deepened my respect for human complexity and resilience. That experience continues to inform the way I show up for clients navigating intense emotional terrain.
I’ve practiced ashtanga yoga for over 20 years and have taught both traditional and prenatal yoga. I often integrate mindfulness and breathwork into therapy, helping clients find moments of calm and clarity in both body and mind.
I live in Westchester with my husband, two children, and our affectionate black Lab, Baba.
