About Vini

I am a licensed social worker dedicated to helping children and teens feel empowered, connect with their thoughts and emotions, and navigate life events. My therapeutic style is rooted in an attuned, strengths-based, and client-centered approach —all of which build a safe space for growth and discovery.

My Specialities

Helping clients feel seen, heard, and supported is at the root of my therapeutic process. Building a space where self-efficacy, emotional attunement, and growth can flourish has been central to my work with children, adolescents, and their caregivers. I bring warmth, connection, and a holistic approach while utilizing a toolbox of techniques from evidence-based approaches.

I received my Master's in Social Work from New York University with a focus on child and adolescent trauma treatment and child welfare. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and caregivers in university, community, and research settings. My background allows me to pull from various evidence-based modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy) techniques, Play Therapy, and Family Therapy. In addition to the strong grounding in evidence-based approaches, I have fine-tuned skills such as attunement, rapport building, and collaboration.

Over the years, I have held a variety of roles such as camp counselor for children with executive functioning challenges, PCIT intern at the NYU Child Study Center, Victim Advocate, and Foster Care/ Residential Treatment Clinician. With my background in social work research at NYU, I consistently bring new and innovative techniques to my therapeutic work. I am passionate about providing developmentally appropriate, effective, and individualized care to children and adolescents.

I am passionate about helping clients process trauma, difficult life events, challenging family dynamics, and emotions. I strive to empower clients by building their self-esteem and developing emotion regulation skills. I am also passionate about helping caregivers navigate challenging behaviors and build attunement with their child. I love helping children and adolescents integrate self-learning, flourish in their environment, and find fulfillment.

I was born in Croatia (Bok!) and raised in Westchester County. I see myself as a New Yorker with a global perspective. I reside in Westchester with my husband and our rescue dog, Maple.
